How to Integrate Two Brands in One Booth

Posted by Jonathan Raimond on Mar 6, 2014 9:00:00 AM

Samsonite, one of the world's largest manufacturers of luggage and travel accessories acquired the luxury luggage producer, Hartmann, in 2012, quickly integrating the Hartmann brand into their annual exhibit program.

This year the Samsonite team had a specific objective for the 2014 PPAI Expo, the premier trade show for the promotional products industry. How can we represent two different brand identities in one 400 square foot space?  And furthermore, how can we mix two unique brand personalities and still remain true to each identity- one known for their high-end leather craftsmanship and another brand that produces travel gear for anyone from rugged outdoor enthusiasts to refined businessmen and women?

In collaboration with both brands, Hill & Partners created an environment that answered this question. The final design was based on three key objectives:

1.Tie the two brands together

2. Maintain the separate brand identities

3. Open layout for clear product viewing

The Result: a Rental Branded Environment that combined the brand personality & product selection of two brands evenly into one cohesive space.  From one side, you would experience materials in bright colors with varying shapes and sizes specific to the casual Samsonite brand. From the other side, materials and textures were selected to create the energy of supreme leather craftsmanship that the Hartmann brand is known for.
