TITLE: Sales & Marketing Coordinator

WHAT DO YOU DO AT H&P? I recently made the switch from Project Manager, with Marketing as a side role, to focusing solely on Sales & Marketing. Now I provide support and coordinate efforts between the Marketing and Sales teams. I also take part in many of our Content and Social Marketing efforts (yes, I'm the one that made everyone write these blogs).

I COULDN’T DO WITHOUT MY… daily caffeine fix.

FAVORITE H&P MEMORY: We’ve had a lot of fun events- bowling, sailing, cookouts, fancy dinner parties, a high-speed boat ride, F1 Racing… I can’t really pinpoint one memory, but the best times I have with H&P are sitting around over a drink (or two) and just laughing so hard you want to cry.

FAVORITE PART ABOUT BEING PART OF THE H&P TEAM: The culture here really is hard to find. I am surrounded by a great mix of people, all with such varying personalities and talents, yet somehow we mesh pretty well and we have a good time together. Every single person of this team knows the importance of working hard, of seeking and being open to constant improvement, and also of having fun.

WHAT DID YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GREW UP? I think the first aspiration I ever had was to be a singer (when I was 4).  Then I quickly realized I was tone deaf… 

MY BEST STRESS BUSTER: Exercise. I know, Cliché. But it works! Last year, Rick Lenz got half of our company into running the Ruckus Run, mud obstacle course race. It was the first event that really pushed me to get back into running. Since then I've ran six mud runs, five regular races and have taken home two medals. 

SOMETHING YOU’VE LEARNED SINCE WORKING FOR H&P: To be open to the possibilities and that things have a way of working themselves out as long as you put in the effort and take responsibility for your actions and decisions.

IF YOU COULD HAVE ANY SUPER POWER, WHAT WOULD IT BE? Instant transport to anywhere I want whenever I want.

FAVORITE/ MOST MEMORABLE PROJECT WORKED ON: The Hill & Partners EXHIBITOR 2012 exhibit…. We doubled the space of our exhibit from the previous year and it was the first time the project was completely mine as a Project Manager. Plus in addition to the normal project management process on our end, this project involved the extra exhibitor responsibilities that are typically dealt with by our clients along with marketing duties/ideas/implementation. It was a lot of work and a huge learning experience. When that project was completed it was a highly satisfactory feeling. Plus EXHIBITOR is always my favorite show to be at just because of all the Hill & Partners people that I get to travel with and share the experience with! 

BEST/WORST PART OF TRAVELING: Best- seeing new places and experiencing new things. Worst- Sitting for long periods of time in cramped seats or crowded airports, running to the connecting flight after your plane was delayed, listening to crying babies for hours- hence the desired Superpower above…

FAVORITE PLACE YOU’VE BEEN TO: Helsinki, Finland with GTECH for European Lottery Congress 2011. The beauty of being right on the water and the sunshine until midnight each day was part of a really amazing experience. Plus we got a chance to escape to the Helsinki Zoo on a little island off the coast one day with some of our GTECH friends.
