Polartec’s primary objective at this year's Outdoor Retailer Summer show was to showcase the established company and innovative products in a highly sophisticated and technical way. This was to be accomplished by:
1. Leveraging the APEX Awards, the company’s longstanding industry award showcasing the most innovative uses of Polartec fabric, into greater interest amongst designers and manufacturers.
2. Displaying their various lines of fabric in an effective and engaging manner
3. Highlighting Polartec’s long history of innovation and collaboration
DESIGN SOLUTIONS:
Luxury materials and sophisticated finishes were the key to Polartec’s booth this year – the gleaming white glossy aluminum that wrapped the booth evoked modern design sensibilities and stood out amongst the darker palate that makes up the typical Outdoor Retailer exhibitor.
The APEX Award-Winning garments were displayed in an impressive storefront-like display on the side of the booth. The display incorporated dramatic lighting, creative propping, and refined materials to showcase the best of the best in outdoor garment design.
The inside of the booth, a double-deck configuration featuring numerous comfortable meeting spaces, effectively displayed their fabrics and the garments that use them.
The Technology Milestone History Wall was the main feature of the booth interior – this section told the story of Polartec through their five fabric lines. The history and creation of each of these garments were told in small backlight vignettes that featured refined materials and unique printing. These elements combined to create an engaging story.
RESULTS:
Polartec’s 40x50 Rental Branded Environment emanated refined design and technology, the two characteristics that most effectively set them apart as an industry leader.
