If you’re an event and trade show professional, we know you live and breathe conferences and expos. But if you’re thinking EXHIBITORLIVE is just like every other conference you’ve gone to, think again!
Attendee vs. ExhibitorAnd don’t forget about one of the main reasons you’re there- to network and shake as many hands as possible. At EXHIBITORLIVE, you’ll be surrounded by hundreds of like-minded professionals who face the same challenges you face every day. This is your perfect opportunity to create relationships that will provide you with support and ideas the next time you’re up against a new hurdle, and likely some long-lasting friendships along the way
Make a Plan
How will you determine if attending EXHIBITORLIVE was a success for you? As much as this event has to offer, you as an attendee will need to put in some work, too! Set yourself up for success by considering the following:
What do you want to accomplish during your time at EXHIBITORLIVE?
What would you like to bring back to your team when the conference is over?
Do you have any goals for yourself during this time?
If you’re in the CTSM program, research the sessions offered and select the ones that are applicable to the challenges you’re facing, they’re a great place to ask questions and learn from your peers!
Also research the show hall and create a list of who you want to meet with and what products you want to investigate. Keep in mind that you aren’t simply shopping for products, you’re shopping for relationships and people you’d like to partner with in the future. These will be the people who will support you and help you excel in your career- and they’re all within steps of one another at this show
Extracurricular Activities
There are some great networking events specifically for people attending the show for the first time.
There’s a dinner each night for first timers to meet other first timers. Check the EXHIBITORLIVE website for the dinner schedule, or sign up outside of the exhibit hall.
Don’t miss the First Timers Meet-Up on Monday (2/25) at 5:30 pm. This networking event is exclusively for first timers and is a great chance to connect with your peers outside of the classroom setting.
Don’t Forget to Eat
You’ll want to give yourself plenty of time for that “quick” Starbucks run before your first morning session. All of the Starbucks locations have long lines in the morning. An alternate option for good coffee and a bite to eat is Citizens Kitchen & Bar in Mandalay Bay.
While we’re on the topic of food, Rí Rá is a cozy spot for a pint, or head to Libertine Social for fun cocktails and yummy apps.
Cheers to an amazing opportunity to network, learn and grow!
PS - Don’t forget to stop by and say hi to our team in exhibit #1201, we’d love to meet you!
